Day - 1 : Guwahati to Nameri
We will pick you from the airport at Guwahati at the required time and then will take you directly to explore the wildlife in the Nameri National Park. Nameri is a national park famous for different species of wildlife and birds including tigers, Himalayan bison, stags etc. The main tourists activies in Nameri are the wildlife trekking inside the forest reserve and river water rafting over the Jia Bhoroli River. The stay will be at Nameri for the night.
Day - 2 : Nameri to Dirang
From Nameri, we will set off to Dirang in the morning. Dirang is a beautiful valley in the Himalayan foothill ranges, primarily famous for different species of Himalayan birds and the Tibetan villages and its architecture. It is also famous for for Dirang – Dzong. The other attractions in this place are the monasteries and an old electricity mill.
Day - 3 : Dirang to Tawang
On this day we will set off towards Tawang from there. On the way, there is a beautiful hot water spring just after crossing Dirang. We will show you the spring and then continue. You will also get to see many attractive places on our way. The War Memorial of Jaswantgarh, The Sela Pass situated at a height of 13700 feet, and the Paradise Lake or the Sela Lake near the Sela Pass are some of the sightseeing spots that fall on the way to Tawang. At last you will see the beautiful Nuranang waterfalls before reaching Tawang. We will stop at Tawang and stay there.
Day - 4 : Tawang Sightseeing
In the morning, we will take you out for sightseeing of the local places within Tawang. We will show you the places like the Tawang Monastery (which is the second largest monastery in Asia), the Nun monastery (which is also accessible by a rope way), the Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, Tawang War Memorial, Apple garden, the Craft centre, and the Emporium. Your stay will be at the same place.
Day - 5 : Around Tawang Sightseeing
We will start for the sightseeing of places around Tawang on this day. The following are the places we are going to visit on that day: the border of India and China at Bum La Pass, the Heart Lake, the Nagula Lake, the Sangester Lake, PTSO Lake and the Y Junction. Please note that if you are planning to visit the border at Bum La Pass, then you must choose one of our itineraries which have at least 3 days stay at Tawang. This is because the pass for visiting Bum La Pass cannot be obtained in a single day. You will stay at the same place.
Day - 6 : Tawang to Bomdila
From Tawang we will come back to Bomdila on this day. Bomdila is mainly famous for the Bomdila monastery, Bomdila market, Bomdila crafts center and emporium, and Bomdila view point. It is a beautiful town in the valley of Himalayan foothills. Your stay for the night will be at Bomdila.
Day - 7 : Bomdila to Kaziranga, Tezpur Sightseeing
From Bomdila, we will take you towards Kaziranga in the morning. Kaziranga National Park is a World Heritage site famous for the one horned rhinoceros. Spanning through an area of 430 square kilometers, it is home to a number of wildlife species like the tiger (which is seen in its natural habitat), different species of deer, Himalayan bison, different species of migratory bird, Himalayan birds and of course the pride of Assam, the rhinoceros. On our way, we will stop by Tezpur and visit the beautiful sightseeing places of this city. Tezpur is also known as the cultural city of Assam. It is situated along the north bank of the Brahmaputra. After sightseeing of places like the Agnigarh, the Lord Shiva temples, the Ghats of Brahmaputra, and the gardens, we will continue towards Kaziranga. Your stay will be at Kaziranga.
Day - 8 : Kaziranga Sightseeing
In the morning, you will be taken to the point of elephant safari inside the national park. Unlike jeep safari, in an elephant safari you will travel through the forest on the back of an elephant so that you can enjoy the views of different wildlife species along with the one horned rhinoceros from very closeness. We will also take you for Jeep safari of in the afternoon. In the meantime, we will take you out for the local sightseeing of Kaziranga like the orchid garden, the vast tea-gardens, ethnic villages and Assamese local villages. You will also get to taste the delicious Assamese fish curries and cuisines during the stay. Your stay will be at the same place.
Day - 9 : Kaziranga to Majuli
In the morning, we will set out for the beautiful river island Majuli. Majuli – the largest river island in the world has an area of around 1250 square kilometers. It is also the only river island district of India. Majuli and its people are so beautiful that people from across the world fall in love with the place and then stay there for months. The river island is so large that you will hardly believe that you are living in a river island. The stay for the night will be at Majuli.
Day - 10 : Majuli Sightseeing
On this day, we will set out to explore the island. The prime attractions of this place are the Vaishnavite culture of Hinduism and its institutions/monasteries, the tribal villages, and the cycle trips around the island. If you are interested, you can also meet the “Forest Man of India” Padma ShriJadav Payeng (depending on time and his availability), who is famous for creating a forest from a wasteland of around 1360 acres just by planting trees over many decades. You will stay at Majuli for the night.
Day - 11 : Majuli to Guwahati
In the morning we will start towards Guwahati in the morning. After reaching Guwahati, we will take you to all the sightseeing places of Guwahati. Guwahati is also called the Gateway of northeast. The places to see around Guwahati are the Kamakhya temple, the Brahmaputra River, the sunset cruises on the Brahmaputra, the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, and the smallest river island in the world – Umananda and the Umananda temple etc. Your last night stay for the trip will be at Guwahati.
Day - 12 : Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop
We will pick you up from the Hotel and drop you at Guwahati airport according to your departure time with sweet memories of the trip with The Holiday Destinations.
